InterNanoPoland 2026, an international conference dedicated to nanotechnology, advanced materials and deep tech, will take place on 14–15 October 2026 in Katowice, Poland (Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Katowice). The tenth anniversary edition will bring together scientists, industry representatives, deep-tech startups, investors and organisations supporting innovation.

Its programme will focus on technologies with the potential to support the energy transition, medicine, biotechnology, electronics, photonics, sustainable manufacturing and the circular economy.

InterNanoPoland 2026 is designed as a platform where scientific expertise meets industrial needs. The event will create opportunities to present new technologies, identify research and business partners, discuss commercialisation pathways and develop joint research and development projects.

The event is organised by the NANONET Foundation and the Silesian Nano Cluster – National Key Cluster. Their shared objective is to develop an ecosystem in which scientific expertise responds to the real needs of the economy, while companies gain access to emerging technologies, research infrastructure and partners for joint R&D projects. This year’s partners are the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Łukasiewicz – Institute for Renewable Resources Chemistry

Technologies That Matter

Nanotechnology and advanced materials play a vital role in many key sectors of the economy, from energy, medicine and electronics to transport, construction and environmental technologies. They determine product durability, device efficiency, energy consumption, process safety and the potential for raw materials to be recovered and reused.

The European Commission recognises advanced materials as technologies that support the competitiveness, resilience and strategic autonomy of European industry. Their development is particularly important for the energy and digital transitions, as well as for reducing dependence on critical raw materials.

The InterNanoPoland 2026 programme has been built around technologies capable of addressing these challenges. Participants will discuss materials for batteries, hydrogen technologies and renewable energy systems, nanomedicine and biotechnology, the use of artificial intelligence in materials design, graphene and carbon structures, photonics and electronics, as well as solutions supporting the circular economy.

The programme will also address research commercialisation, intellectual property protection, financing for deep-tech projects, nanomaterial safety and standardisation, and the development of international R&D consortia.

A Bridge Between the Laboratory and the Market

One of the greatest challenges facing today’s economy is not a lack of valuable research, but the long and complex journey from the laboratory to industrial application. A technology needs more than strong performance parameters. It also requires validation, intellectual property protection, financing, access to infrastructure, an industrial partner and a clear understanding of the future user’s needs.

For this reason, InterNanoPoland is not simply a venue for presenting research results. The conference is designed to help build relationships that can lead to joint projects, demonstrators, pilot initiatives and industrial implementation.

The programme will include technology presentations, panel discussions, industry case studies, workshops, networking meetings and a poster session. The organisers aim to create a space for meaningful dialogue between those who develop technologies and those who can implement, finance or support their further development.

InterNanoPoland 2026 will bring together people who believe that the future of innovation starts with materials, but that its continued development depends on collaboration.
